The "most of the boards aren't anime, so it's not an anime website" argument is more of a falseflag than anything else. Since it's obvious that that argument is so dumb, a lot of anons try and act like it's true to get newfriends to agree with them (and therefore stand out as newfriends.)
I would recommend backing up a little, by lurking for about a couple more months. It also might help to start reading lurkmoar or ED to learn about the site as a whole.
