I like Pokémon, and I like being anonymous.

This place is a shithole, yes, but every once in a while you find a diamond in the rough. I think it's worth putting up with all the garbage for that, because I value anonymity so much.

It would be nice if all the degenerate fap bait threads, undistilled shitposting and other manners of faggotry stopped though.

If I want cute pictures of my favorite Pokemon, other users with respond with pictures that are usually pretty good. If I went to Deviantart and searched for it I would have to sift through mounds of low quality shit and fetish art to find a good picture

this is an underrated aspect of 4chan in general.
Using traditional forums is so goddamn boring because of how slow they are.

4chan on the contrary can have around ten new posts every 30 seconds in a decently active thread.

Aside from the other reasons people posted, after years of browsing /v/ I needed to move to a slower board. Not as slow as some shithole like serebiiforums or gamefaqs, but /vp/ is a good speed for me now.
