Eh, I no longer care.
This generation brought a lot of newfags in though and holy shit, did it shit up our boards. You can't even express any sort of dislike for any mon without their fans following suit. I'm not even the kind of anon that outright calls something shit or that it's horrible, at least I try to be reasonable and yet, I feel like I'm treated as if I just called that very same pokemon shit either way.
God, I have a thousand pokemon that I like I can admit plenty of people don't like, but I don't get this startled over someone else's negative opinion on them. If I see someone who for instance hates X mon that I like, I at least try to reason with them and either way "to each their own" or something of that sort, but I guess I can't expect everyone to feel "comfortable" with my opinion, which I get it, I know it's not easy to see someone bash or criticize your favorite mon, heck, seeing someone call something shit should really be considered shitposting at this point, I don't support that train of thought either.
But man, I feel like the Pokemon fanbase has grown more and more sensitive towards everyone's opinions, which makes everyone go "ultra defense mode" over anyone who even whisper something like "I like X and Y but I don't really fancy Z". This generation was particularly awful about it, especially the starter wars. I'm not sure if it's because of the treatment Ash's Greninja and Greninja got in general or whatever, but this got way out of hand.
