Misty is...Misty, but Brock is genuinely one of the most likeable characters in the franchise, so much so that they kept him for 4 gens. Gary contributed to a lot of Ash's motives and development. But all of this is bad because "nostalgia"? It's OK because haha oldfags btfo?

Pokemon anime is still kinda one of the best commercial ads out there.
You should see other commercial ad shows (transformers comes to mind), they aren't really much better.

Japan doesn't give a fuck about Misty, and Brock isn't a symbol of solely Kanto, but no Gary is lame especially when his replacement is a generic "bonds and friendship make you weak" edge rival.

Well I don't know of many 10 year old aimed shows personally
All I mostly see on tv or have seen is either sitcoms, those nickelodeon teenage series, great variety of movies or cartoons that usually hit the teen rating.
