>>32285467Loved the first one, second was more polished - saving from the menu, more dungeon areas and towns, got rid of the Under(loved it but annoying ufo thing and the place only existed because criminals kept it running iirc), more available mons with less useless stuff like sunflora, more shadow attacks, and the purification chamber cut down annoying grinding. But was a step backward in some ways, pokespots had such a small pool of pokemon and felt like an unfinished feature that should've been cut to better expand on something else, they gave us wild pokemon but still didn't let us breed, and we went from a good guy wrapped up in some bad shit realizing this isn't okay and deciding to fix it to some derp researcher's kid who was just an unpaid errand boy with minimal life experience and no real reason to be put in charge of collecting the extra dangerous creatures. At least in the main games kid protag is doing nothing more than any other kid in the world and is actually a licensed trainer on a journey to compete in the league when somewhere during their travels they uncover the serious shit going down and get involved - still nuts but that's part of what made Colosseum feel less bullshit since Wes was already involved and a little older so probably knows how to deal with the stuff and take care of himself, he didn't travel alone which is more realistic because safety in numbers and it's nice to have friends to share an adventure with and split bills for travel expenses with, almost nobody is so useless you'd be better off alone unless they're causing problems and other than getting stuck in tight spaces Rui never fucked you over like most useless npcs, they could've let you talk to her like the pikachu in yellow and given her a bit more purpose like hold a team of shadow pokemon to help purify them(gaining no experience from walking with her for balance) or occasionally find an item for you.
