>>32285645Oh, so now we start talking about additions?
>3D graphics>PSS (best online features in the series)>Pokemon Amie>Horde encounters (best EV training method in the series)>Drastically improved breeding mechanics>Character customization>PR videos>Fairy-type>Mega Evolution>Super Training>Riding Pokemon in the overworldAnd if I really want to scrape the bottom of the barrel I can include gimmick battle formats (Inverse and Sky Battles) as well as Battle Chateau and Lumiose City restaurants for money grinding and training. XY are actually great games and they were deservingly very well received by the fanbase but the contrarians on /vp/ don't want to admit it.
>>32285660>HAHAHAHAHAWhat's so funny? Gen V is actually the only generation that didn't introduce any new major additions. Gen II had breeding, held items, fixing the special stat and Dark-/Steel-types. Gen III had natures, abilities and current IV/EV mechanics. Gen IV had physical/special split and online features. Gen V had nothing. Gen VI had mega evolutions, Fairy-type and our current breeding mechanics. Gen VII has Z-moves, removing HMs and completely revamping the way the story goes on (no more 8 gyms that had been a staple since the beginning).
I mean, this isn't necessarily a crime but don't act like like Gen V was something new and wild, because it wasn't. It was the most stagnant Pokemon generation and the only to lack major additions. Despite this, BW(2) managed to be great games which I do give them credit for.
And if all you can say is "fucking genwun pandering kanto dick sucking xd" then I think you should stop. At least give proper arguments to why you shit on some games and praise others to high heavens.
