As you know, the mechanism responsible for assigning wild Pokemon their IVs and Natures is the Multimodal Synchonizer, which links that Pokemon to a random parallel universe's local laws of physics to generate random values. Of course, that mechanism means that if that Pokemon faints, the universe it was linked to undergoes rapid collapse into nothingnesd, but such is the price to pay for truly randomly-generated values.
Thing is, I keep linking to dead universes and terminated timelines. This results either in glitched Pokemon being generated, or thousands of discordant shrieks eminating from my PC's speakers. Not an ideal outcome either way!
Does anyone know how I can rewrite the game's code to target only non-ruptured universes? I'm working with a hacked ROM of Dazzling Emerald, if that helps.
