Alright, since people bitch about pokemon being too easy, let’s come up with some challenges. What are some cool things we can add to make pokemon a bit more challenging. Here’s my idea, which has probably been done before:
Dexlocke: You cannot leave an area until you have caught all of the pokemon possible in that area before you can proceed to the next. While the object is to fill up the pokedex, you do not necessarily have to evolve a pokemon to get the pokemon catchable and the evolution in the area. This also excuses version-specific mons (eg. You do not need to catch an a-sandshrew if you have pokemon sun). This also excuses pokemon that you cannot catch without a good rod (eg. Clauncher), however, if you have a fishing rod or a manner of surfing/water travel, you must catch the water pokemon too. If there’s a pokemon that is specific to a time, tough shit: you need to wait to catch it. You can, however, use the gts to facilitate your journey to leave the area, but good luck finding a trade that isn’t some autistic 12 year old asking for an ultra beast for his fucking lv 2 shit-iv rattata.
