My first intention pick was Rowlet, but had nothing against the other two. Litten, I wasn't considering because I got fed up with Fire starters overall. Then I kind of warmed myself to Popplio, even though I wasn't too fond of its "too proud" stand (it was something that bothered me for some reason back then). People bashed it for no reason, but I never had anything in particular against it. I was considering picking it instead, but was still pretty undecided. Then there was that one point where the whole Ballio shit happened to which I was clearly dubious of, but thought "aw well shit, I wouldn't really mind the pup being a cute clown either, cheering people and doing cute little stunts".
Then came the final evolutions and... Ehhhh, I just got pretty disappointed. Primarina was revealed and it's a siren/mermaid/performer mesh, but the mermaid thing really didn't get to me and neither the whole wrestling thing Incineroar had. The archer thing was the one thing I remotely cared about and I just stuck with Rowlet. Primarina kind of emphasized a lot of what I was afraid of in Popplio early beginning (the "too proud" thing) which really put me off. I can only picture it as a very snooty pokemon, which isn't really what I had in mind to have.
