Have you guys ever gone through trauma, be it a traumatic event like 9/11, a school shooting, natural disaster or family trauma?
Did you ever use pokemon to cope?
Pic related helped me after a huge part of my house got destroyed in Katrina.

Looking back, I never finished the game, so I didn't get to the part that contained the storm. Probably for the best.

I started playing X after my mother's suicide. OR came out a year later but at that point I was already over the trauma. For how bad gen 6 was, i'll give it credit for helping me cope with her loss.

Played the shit out of Mystery Dungeon and Diamond when my parents got divorced, and through the majority of school where I changed schools every year.
