I don't know why some people are so adamant in defending their favorite pokemon's designs. It's ok if you like a lousy or tacky one, you probably have personal reasons for doing so.
For example, Beavers are some of my favorite animals, so i LOVE Bibarel. Even if i can safely say it's a pretty shitty design, i don't care. Kecleon is dull and pretty uncreative, but i like it a lot because i also like chameleons.
But there's also times where i like a pokemon sheerly on the strength of its design. For example, i personally HATE frogs, but Greninja is one of my favorite pokemon. I like its creativeness and how it fits among ninja folklore enough for me to overlook the things that irk me about frogs.
