Simplicity? This is one of the few Gen 4 designs to not be unnecessarily busy. It's more in line with Gen 1 style of being simple.

They didn't have much to work with using Swinub/Piloswine as a base. We're lucky that it turned out looking this good.

At base 80 speed he isn't a slow ice type.

Ground and ice combined with not being slow allows him to be what ice type always wished to be.

It's a MOTHERFUCKING MAMMOTH PIG.

Out of all the gen4 cross gens him, Tangrowth and Weavile are the ones that altered the designs less, I would have preferred if they kept piloswine eye work but somehow mamoswine still works as an end of the evolution line without breaking one's suspension of disbelief.

I can agree on Yanmega, but ambipom is quite hated due to how "retarded" it looks.

Gliscor is a very busy design when compared to Gligar.

Tangrowth, Weavile and Mamoswine are the most simple of the cross gen evolutions as they not only kept the color pallette but keep the concept.

It looks like shit.

Why are it's eyes showing? The main feature of the line was that the eyes were hidden. What's that blue mask thing on it's face? Is it part baboon? Why doesn't it have ears? Why does it have tusks coming out of its fucking chest?

Swinub and Piloswine are such cute designs but Mamoswine completely ruins the line.

But that's kind of a weak gripe. Other than that I like the design. Wish it's tusks at least had icicles or something hanging off of it to give it more of an Ice type look.
