Yeah, we had 7 Dark Elite 4, 4 Dark Kahunas, 3 Dark Trial Captains, 5 Dark Contest Hall Leaders, 6 Dark Elité Coordinator 4, 3 Dark plot rivals, a battleable uncatchable Mega Primal Zeta Battle Bond Demihuman Greninja, and a 6v6 battle of you\rival\opposite gender PC\Prof. Fir\Looker\Cynthia VS Grimsley\Nanu\aihtnyC\lebanA\Sollana\Nales. (Yes, Sollana the plot-important semi-recurrer NPC Pokémon Theta Trainer, not Solana the playable Pokémon Ranger. There are so many plot important characters that names are reused a lot between games and there are a lot of creative mispellings to not confuse. We also have a Solyna, Soluna, Solluna, Solleen, Zorana, and Shollan - who is a boy - and Zohlienar, who is a Pokémon.)
Remember when Sollana and Nales first appeared, they were just a Lass and an Youngster from Pokémon Plus and Minus, who then you ended up encountering them throughtout the story and they were the ones defeating the evil team? Nowadays they're in every game, even remakes. Just like Cynthia, Looker, Anabel, Dexio, Sina, Mega Primal Zeta Battle Bond Demihuman Greninja, Omega Primal Advanced Battle Bond Ultra Charizard Flare-Plus, Ultra Mega Primal Theta Spacetime Warpspeed Lucario, Grimsley, Kahili, Lillie, Gladion, Red, Blue, Leaf, Yellow, and Nebraska. (Whose idea was it anyway to drop the plant theme naming for a US state\Canada province theme naming for a generation?)
Anybody also remember the Time Pokémon Doctor Who crossover thing? With Olive and Wilfred Tennant-Davison playing the protagonists? They introduced Pokémon Time Forms and Pokémon Space Forms? Dawn, Lucas, and Barry were retconned as having had many timespace adventures with the Fourth Doctor, Harry Sullivan, and Sarah Jane Smith?
