>>32384203Nothing made sense. The very foundation of the story, that Pokemon are unhappy, was bullshit. Pokemon are nothing but happy. There are wrist watches in Pokemon that can tell you how happy they are.
The entirety of Team Plasma was bullshit of highest grade. You see them physically abusing Pokemon and stealing from kids before second Gym, and they even raid the second Gym in broad daylight. They even steal Bianca's Pokemon before third Gym. And no one does anything about it. Whenever you meet them, you just let them walk away. When confronted about it, it's just chalked up as "difference in opinion". The one time they are arrested by Clay, Ghetsis comes and just takes them away, and everyone just stands there watching.
If I began to list every problem with N, this post would be over 10k words long. He is the very definition of a Villain Sue, but also mixed with traits of Mary Sue and having no personality beyond the word "Pokemon". A character worse than Zinnia in that not only does everyone just lets him walk away for what he does, the player character also supposedly falls in love with him for no explainable reason.
There aren't even any stakes involved. At least with Platinum, there was the threat of world ending, and the villain had the power to achieve that. That wasn't the case in BW. Separating people from Pokemon is quite literally impossible. How would you go about it? How would you make it so that humans never interact with Pokemon? You put all Pokemon away? How and where? They failed at even the most basic thing, something they've been doing since Generation 1.
I would be hard pressed to say something positive about BW's story or character. The best character, Bianca, was also mediocre at best. Even one of the main conflicts her character faces, her trouble with her dad, was just resolved with an asspull speech by a random stranger.
