Sylveon lacks empathy and self-awareness. Otherwise it would realize that it was getting preferential treatment and object or choose to share with the others. Since it doesn't we can only assume that either it doesn't realize it's enabling behavior is the root of the animosity, or wants the preferential treatment in spite of that animosity.
