>>32385024>Gen V got a huge drop in sales because they forced you into catching new pokemon without allowing for older mons until the postgame, But that's my favorite part of gen 5. The Pokemon looked better than gen 4 so I actually liked using them, I was no longer mystified by old gen Pokemon being thousands of miles from their home, and it overall made the game feel so much more refreshing to play.
Why would I want the same team 5 times in a row? That anon might be exaggerating that gen 4 caused a drop in audience, but I actually almost quit Pokemon at gen 4s's reveal because I hated the starters and by release didn't like 6 Pokemon. Ugliest gen by far. Worst Eevees, worst starters, worst legendaries.
Best memories and wifi shenanigans though.
