>>32409485The problem with the Sagedex is that it's boring. It's really, really boring. The vast majority of the designs don't do anything interesting with their basic concepts, and some of them actually manage to be less interesting than the creature/thing they're based on. I didn't think it would be possible for me to find Pokémon based on bombardier beetles, skyrods and tongue lice uninteresting, but Sage managed it.
I fucking hate this fact because there are some amazing designs scattered around in there, like Trenchula, Somberado and Chillnobyl, and if all of them were that good then the Sagedex would easily beat out the official games in terms of designs. Unfortunately, the whole thing is just a swamp of mediocrity, and it hurts my soul.
