Why does it need to when it's Masuda's favorite gen 7 line and getting anime (via Litten) and movie prominence?

Seems to me all the starters are getting a fair shake this gen overall, but in different areas.

Probably, especially since it's the most prominent in the movie and possibly? the anime. In terms of getting the most overall love from media/merchandise it'll be Litten line = Rowlet line > Popplio line.
