So what's the proper way to organize a card collection? I've got hundreds of cards gen 5-7, just went to my moms and grabbed all my old stuff gen 1 mostly, little bit of 2.

If you want to do the best possible would be organizing by types and between these types have subsections (EX: on the pokemons themselves you organize from first gen all the way through the seven one in order), then after ALL pokemons are done you start doing other types of cards.

It makes the binder look really nice if you're into that and super handy for people to take a look if you're selling/trading shit, just beware retards might unorganize if they're shitheads or steal, obviously.

If it's just personal then go as far as your autism allows you.

If you want a collection binder, it's literally a collection binder. There's no "proper" way, just organize it until it looks good to you. It's your collection. Sometimes that's by type. Sometimes it's by set. Sometimes it's by pokedex number.
