As for Lusamine, she gets doujins because she's Lusamine, not because she's a mom. The moment she was revealed, the entire internet exploded with lewds and fanart. Her being a mom has nothing to do with it. She's just hot.

Even if everyone there brings shit ton of money, there's nothing that says anyone will buy the doujin, unless its about a character they like or they just like the art and the situation presented enough to buy something. And there's more than just manga to buy there. Getting your work noticed isn't easy.
While selling them may not get the artist a huge amount of money, no one wants to spend time making something that barely anyone will buy. If someone REALLY loves the character, I can understand. Like is the case with Natsumemo and Sabrina. But I really doubt there is someone who likes only Lana's mom, a random character with no screentime, and just wants to draw and her alone. In case someone just buys everything from an artist, I doubt there would be a notable number of such fans to make a difference. At least I don't see it happening too often.
