>>32450857>CompanionsThis shit was annoying as fuck. Last games I played were R/S, I couldn't get into B/W but I did play B/W and X/Y after S/M and I gotta say the absolute most annoying parts of these games were the companions. I don't know if they're trying to make it like the anime (which I haven't watched since I was a kid) how Ash always had a couple of faggots following him around constantly, but this shit was annoying as fuck. B/W wasn't nearly as bad in this aspect, but they made it worse in X/Y and they really ramped it up in S/M.
This shit was really annoying, coupled with the hand holding you could barely walk two steps without triggering a cutscene, especially in the early game.
I especially hated that fat fucking cunt Tierno in X/Y and Hautism in S/M, in fact, most of these extra characters add nothing of value to the game. They're just kinda there to interrupt you at every possible moment. In fact, I remember a specific moment in X/Y where the autistic kid trying to complete the pokedex wanted to compare his with mine and he was all disappointed I had seen more Mountain region pokemon than he had and I had only seen a grand total of 9, which did nothing but highlight how useless and pointless these characters were. (It didn't help the fact that the entirety of X/Y's plot was basically a whole lot of nothing followed by more nothing with some additional nothing sprinkled on top.)
>Hand holdingAlready explained above, but the hand holding is ridiculous. There's a better method of showing people elements and features of a game than to completely stop the game and explain it to them like a god damn manual. I understand kids are the primary demographic, but dear fucking god I didn't need any of this shit playing R/B/Y, even then the one tutorial was OPTIONAL.
>Shitty villain team>R/B/Y/G/S/C had Gangsters/Mobsters>R/S/E had eco terrorists>B/W had PETA>X/Y had ginger faggots>S/M had wiggers
