Is it possible we'll see one more Mystery Dungeon game on the 3DS later this year? Assuming no mainline this year, Pokemon'll still need something to shove in your face, advertise and profit from.

The assets are still there and we haven't heard much from Spike Chunsoft Pokemon-wise since Super Mystery Dungeon, this would also quickly introduce Gen VII to the MDverse. Thoughts? What did you think of Gates to Infinity and Super Mystery Dungeon?

Aside from Explorers of Time/Darkness, PMD games tend to come out near the end of a generation, and late 2017 is still less than 2 years after Super's release. Though Spike Chunsoft is definitely making more if it can, PMD is one of their best selling series.

Gates was a bit rushed and has no postgame, though I like its story and Paradise.
Super is fantastic. Best gameplay and best soundtrack. The break system can fuck off though.

I liked Super's gameplay. Not so much Gates' cool concepts, bad execution.

I really wish they'd stop recycling plots though. Gates was literally an edgier Rescue Team's (granted, Gates had better characters), and Super was Explorers all over again. The ending is literally a shot-for-shot rip-off of Tales of Symphonia's ending, too.

Super had a garbage plot but that isn't the case at all besides tree into space, I don't really see how Gates is like Rescue Team any more than the other games as well

SMD was so definitive I don't know what more they can do with it. It is possible to make another continent, but it'd have to be a solely tropical region. Actually, I'd like to see them just have a whole world that has nothing to do with any of the previous MDs. They could do it, but I still liked the idea of having a whole world to explore.
