Why weren't they the champions in black 2 and white 2? If you played as Nate you'd fight Hilbert and if you played as Rosa you'd fight Hilda, Why did have to be Iris?

Design wise she's probably Indian or whatever is the region that's based off on that is gonna be, since drayden did say that she isn't from Unova

They never became the Champions. The credits roll when you beat Ghetsis. They don't get to win the League or register in the Hall of Fame until postgame, the non-canon part.

It would have been nice to have some continuity though the Memory Link though. Your past team and moves could have been recorded after getting the credits, brought to level 80, and then Hilbert/Hilda could have been placed deep inside a cave as a bonus boss.
