>>32482262I'm not that used to games where the backtracking isn't that obvious, and so it's easy to completely copy someone else's playthrough. (not that I do that, but I do mostly remember where junk is) For something like this, it's impossible to do it on your first playthrough as you're still figuring out what you can do. The last time I played a game remotely like this, I did the extra junk on my second playthrough. Then again, I was watching someone that was being overly cautious and trying not to be overleveled, which if I was playing this like an MMO, I totally would not leave a place until I finished all the quests I can. (save once I reached level cap, where I just flat out bail) You cannot do that in this game, and I wouldn't know the difference without looking it up. Anyway, it's obvious that the matter that I play differently would affect my experience. Usually, I might have different strategies, but I could still play the game in exactly the same way. It's why I've wondered would would happen to me if I played Skyrim. I'd get flipping lost and overlook a zillion things. This is not that kind of game, but it still feels like you'd get flipping lost in it. (well, a different kind of lost, whereas Skyrim will have you literally lost)
I'm sorry I don't have better examples, as I said I'm not that familiar with modern RPGs and I've ignored Final Fantasy because Kingdom Hearts made me believe that all of them are flipping pretentious and I avoided them like the plague. I've recently discovered I was wrong about that, at least for the games before VII. I haven't actually seen the gameplay for Mass Effect. What little I saw of it instantly started to bore me. I loved KOTOR's story, but when I tried to play it myself, it was far too clunky to endure. I need better research, but it's really difficult for me to even hear about games these days. Or at least ones I want to play. I know somewhere in here there must be a game I'd like to play.
