Using the logs of my script, I can get a rough estimate of velocity.

There's at least 5 people working on just outlines, I can tell that much. Plus my two scripts.

I'd estimate another 3-5 people might be doing colors.

I can't place pixels faster than anyone else because the validation happens on their servers. Also can't proxy IPs because I'm a scrub.

The only real benefit here is that it doesn't get tired or stupid and it'll place a pixel exactly to spec every time like clockwork.

Now that I'm looking at it, the Vaporeon doesn't look too big compared to the Umbreon. But let's try and keep the pixel size down for future eeveelutions since this one was pretty big and proved to be pretty challenging.

Let's try and keep it in the realm of 115x115. The Sylveon's right about that size, Glaceon's a little smaller, and Umbreon is something like 85x130.

This. Just look at the difference between Vaporeon and Sylveon, we've been getting larger and/or more complex with every step. We need to scale it back with the next one.

Just gonna throw in a premature vote for Leafeon or Flareon next, some red and green would help a lot with the color diversity of the area.

Are you a foreign boarder? Asking if we made all of these sprites by hand or by script?

As far as I know, I'm the only one on the entire canvas with a script, and it's only running on one or two PCs at any time. Vaporeon is the only one that's been leveraging the script, everything else except the little Magnemite was done completely legit. And even then, a majority of Vaporeon's pixels are also legit since I'm only one guy. If anything this script is mostly for error correction.

I believe >>32485898 means what is used to make the art, not automatically do it.
In any case, i recommend just using Paint and using the pencil tool, it's all you really need, since it places single pixels.
If you want specific tools, you can use GraphicsGale or Aseprite, or just use GIMP/Photoshop with a single pixel grid.

We also have to account how the cool down time increases the farther we get away from the center of canvas.

I wanted to draw something above the eevees and all them little doodles, where it starts to get blank. It was bout 2 minutes of cool down. By the time limit and size of the Eevee train, it'll literally take forever for us to do.

The equation for cooldown is thus:

seconds = 6 * log(r+1) + 0.018r + 30

Where 'r' is the straight-line distance in pixels from the point (0,0) on the canvas. You can use Pythagorean's Theorem to calculate r for any pixel.

Basically what that jumble means is that:

A) The minimum cooldown on the board is 30 seconds, at the dead center

B) Cooldown increases as you get further away from the center.

C) The rate at which cooldown increases is fast close to the middle, and slows down the farther out you get. (The difference between cooldowns at (0,0) and (0,1000) is 36 seconds, but the cooldown between (0,1000) and (0,2000) is only 20 seconds.)

Also I can manually place pixels, but my script won't run anymore.

You can learn a lot about how Javascript works by inserting breakpoints in your browser's debug tools and looking at stacktraces.

I copied the JS files into a text editor, looked for anything that wasn't obfuscated (there are clues) and worked backwards, de-obfuscating the code by hand until I had a good enough picture of what was going on.

As it turned out, a majority of that code is completely irrelevant. The only things you really need to know are how to fetch the canvas and send pixels back. I won't disclose how exactly that is done for precautionary reasons, but there's your hint.

It's hard for me to do that since I don't work with javascript much at all and am having to learn it all on the spot. Before the recent change I managed to get it to where I could download big chunks and export the result to a png file, but now that's all broken. I can't into websockets either.

Looks like the "okays" have it. My scripts are primed and ready to start drawing Flareon's outline, we just have <75 pixels to go on the last bubble.

I still think the scan line mode is most helpful because it provides a nice indicator of "everything above this horizontal progress bar is correct". So look out for pixels starting up at the void and between the void and Emolga.

I usually just google the pokemon I'm looking for with "bead sprite" after it. If you google pokemon menu sprites some bigger sheets come up with a lot of them though.

You could just have someone sprite it themselves and show the reference, pretty much like you do now. That's what I've been doing for what I'm making. It's not as nice as some of yours because I'm not as good as the artists that you guys have used or official art, but it's more fun and it's something unique and original.

The red line here is supposed to be 10 pixels
The black line to the right is supposed to be 9 pixels

As of taking this screen, they're both 9 pixels, but i can't find where there's one pixel too much in either direction

I wanted to make fire instead of a shadow, but it didn't show up great against the background. So I picked something curvy to mirror the arms. The 'bowl' isn't done in that though, pic related is how it looks right now but I'm still messing around with a final shape.
