Instead of showing off the game's lore most of the episodes were just watered-down retellings of actual game events. Subpar.

It's just me or Looker was kinda underwhelming in Sun/Moon? He had more personality and was more fun in Platinum/XY, the Looker quest in XY is some of the best pieces of side-story in the series, I give that the Sun/Moon quest was more rewarding (because 1,000,000 pokedollars) but story-wise it was far more weak, the twist about Anabel was the only good bit, but the rest was predicable and lacked more flavor.
