>GF HAS been hiring people to develop on the Switch >This generation WILL ben short since they've already burned through all the event mon and those are generally a good indicator of how long a generation is going to last >Nintendo has announced a new 3DS model so while I do believe, as most, that eventually Nintendo is going to sell only the Switch (I mean, they're not actively developing anything for the 3DS already) they don't want to let go of their lower entry price point into Nintendo's hardware>New 3DS models have been accompanied by new pokemon games so far but this is again patternwork>Nintendo has projected to sell 40 million 3DS games from march 2017 to march 2018. While the the 3DS has a huge library to retroactively sell and there are some big games coming out (DQ 11, MH XX) it seems that the figure is a tad high, so many believe that there's still a last pokemon game for the 3DS to help Nintendo getting there (since Pokemon is by far the best selling IP on 3DS)Personally I believe we're going to get DP remakes on the 3DS this year. I know that they're still playable on it, but they're hard to come by and expensive, and not on the eShop. A DP remake would be a cheap investment (I mean the story is already done and the engine would obviously be SM's one) with high return. Plus I feel like this way they've done remaking the classic generations and the series can move on once it lands on the Switch. GF already said that an eventual move would entail big changes for the series, which in its current form would be too simple for a hybrid like the Switch. Just my two cents though, we haven't got any real news. Also I find hard to hype. I love DP but GEN VI and VII have been a complete failure for me so I'm afraid of what they would do to my favourite region. Hell, I'm more hyped for the third version / reharsh of YW2 at this point.
