Currently doing a shitmon playthrough of Black 2 with some restrictions.

What is a shitmon playthrough? It's basically a standard playthrough but I use only Pokemon in the lowest Smogon tier of said generation. Since this is Gen 5 I use only NU mons. There are some restrictions such as no legendaries or no "strong" pokemon like Slaking, starters or Wobbuffet/Whynaut because even if they are in the lowest tier, they can still make the ingame pathetically easy. I also added more rules such as
>no grinding (only applicable to get new team members up to my teams levels)
>no items in battle
>blacking out means soft reset.
>cannot exceed gym leaders levels.

I'm currently stuck on Clay cause being ten levels under with a shit team means i can't do anything against Excadrill. I can typically beat his other three mons, but i cant do anything against his ace and he just ends up sweeping me. I might just have to go to Route 6 and catch a Deerling or Dunsparce just so I can get past him.

I could beat clay with those pokemon. Leavanny and Vespiquen could take out excadrill if you don't have retarded movesets.

Excadrill is only lv 31.

Garbador is actually good in game.

Does watchog have superfang? That is a really broken move for these type of challenges with that you could tackle battles much higher than yours especially since leavanny could sweep his team except for excadrill.

eyah it does, but it gets OHKO'd by everything barring Onix (cause onix is shit) and can't outspeed an excadrill 10 levels above it.

And Ledian isn't catchable in BW2 until a swarm very late in the game. Vespiquem, Garbodor and Audino still fall under the shitmon rules seeing as they are in the NU tier of Gen 5, which is the lowest tier of that generation.

You're missing the point that being NU does not mean being bad. NU means that they aren't used due to not being viable or being outclassed at their niche *in a competitive setting that uses smogon rules*. In other words, that ruleset is stupid for an in-game challenge. You're worse off using Uber Wobbuffet than NU Audino in-game.

I think you're the one missing the point seeing as I'm still restricting myself even when using NUmons, as I stated in my first post. I still look and gauge my choices depending whether they are actually bad or simply just outclassed. I could have been using something like Weezing considering you can catch Koffing very early in Bw2, but as you see on my team, Koffing is absent.

Also Wobb is BL in Gen 5.
