Yeah, there's one specific five-digit number that's sort of my lucky number, so I can't play a game without it. Also, I really like the number 3, so I actually won't start until I roll that number for the third time. Though I'll admit it makes it a bit difficult when I'm soft-resetting for shiny starters. That usually adds a few attempts.

Are there some IDs you can't have? For some reason I feel like I read that somewhere.

Anyway I'm actually not too bothered by ID but having one that represents the Fibonacci sequence (01123, or 011235) would be neat.

I'm usually autistic about stupid things like this, but I prefer to have a random Trainer ID. In the story's eyes, I'm simply another inhabitant of the region, so it's slightly immersion breaking to have my ID be special in any way. I never give Pokemon nicknames (at least on first playthroughs) for the same reason.

I'll just ignore that I have a unique design in a sea of identical NPCs

You're not another trainer dumb ass the games are based off the character red in the manga. You're playing as red and any name you give your character automatically ruins that authenticity anyway NOT to mention you have a special connection with oak and his grandson apparently.

I also do this because it's a pretty number to look at while I'm checking my pokemon's stats or hall of fame, or trainer card.
S&M and it's abhorrent endless stupid cutscenes made it a bit difficult but I managed to get something like 23632 can't recall because I kinda hated S&M and it's been months since I played at all.
