XY was the peak of Pokemon design and that was one of the few redeeming aspects of Gen VI. SM on the other hand is one of the contenders for weakest Pokemon designs, though it has a few sparks here and there.

Bring back Sugimori. Remove Ohmura.

Of course, but they do finalize the designs and draw the official artwork. Ohmura in my opinion did not do a good job at it when SM passed the torch to him.

You know Sugimori doesn't design all of the Pokemon and neither did Ohmura during SM right? Sugimori only designs some and draws all of the official art. Same goes for Ohmura but he only drew all of the official art for SM's Pokemon. Quite frankly I hope he never does again. His art is really stiff and his coloring is really bad.

Agreed.

I hated Bewear when first revealed in official art -- it's so awkwardly posed. Once I saw the model, though, I changed my mind.

It was like that for most of the Pokemon this gen thanks to Ohmura. Will not miss him.
