Nah, even if you gave it some non ability like battle armor, he's still super slow, first impression is hard to justify the move slot because of how shitty bug is as an attacking type, and he isn't quite strong enough to two shot shit, while he can easily be two shot by plenty of types as bug/water isn't a fantastic defensive type (not the worst though)
I would still use golisopod on every single one of my teams if they just fixed it so that emergency exit switched you out after you attack. Even if it was RU, it would make a super fun pivot
