Their levels should be way higher, is a shame the best leveling spot outside the plaza is so tedious.

It only showed for certain battles, but a lot of trainers were pointless only having a mon or two. 60 is also a really low cap for postgame battles, especially with no Audino like mon to bolster xp.

It's a staple of the series, not specifically SM.
No trainer uses a full team of six pokemon, excluding the memer fisher with 6 Magikarps or the Breeder class that uses a lot of first stages in really low levels.

Kind of. Exp Share still trivializes most of the game, most trainers have 1-2 Pokemon only, and totem mons aren't that impressive. In addition Mother Beast Lusamine's totem boosts should've been on more relevant stats.
