i enjoyed the game a lot, it's hard to choose a favorite.i really loved the fact that you actually needed to catch pokemon to get helpful items like the hm for flash and exp. share. i wish they would do that again. i suppose sun and moon did but all they gave was money.

The open-endedness. It's all it really has over most of the other games. Not like it's a bad game though, I just prefer most of the others more.

To be fair, starters on the box doesn't work well at all unless they start making three versions of each game instead of just 2.

I'm just saying, that 3 starters but only 2 box arts means that one of the starters is inherently getting left out for arbitrary reasons, which is unfair.
