Gen 4/5/6 Pokémon start showing up as soon as you battle Groudon/Kyogre

The in-story explanation iirc is that all the natural energy released by Groudon/Kyogre made a more attractive habitat that attracted new Pokémon (meaning that Team Magma/Aqua got what they wanted)

Show me a remake that added pokemon from other generations that weren't in the base game in the main story. This is obviously excluding the Gen 4 evolutions of course

I like this. Finding new pokemon is the best part of the games to me. I really enjoy being surprised in areas I already explored.

There are Gen 6 Pokemon too. Maybe you should actually explore the game instead of just trying to play the linear road.

I was able to do this theme run because of the game's early National Dex, which I'm grateful for considering it's the only game I could have done it.
