I know what you're thinking: "Pokemon can't have guns or weapons". Then I remind you that Blastoise has guns, Remoraid and Octillery are weapons, there are a bunch of "gun" moves, and they even have an exclusive ability.
A dolphin's pokedex entry writes itself. Just say something about it's intelligence, hunting prowess, and/or their relationship to humans.
Forget lame bottlenose dolphins though. I would much rather have a killer whale pokemon. They are dolphins and wouldn't need guns attached to be cool although it doesn't hurt. I'd be down with a bottlenose being the first stage and a killer whale being the final stage.
