There shit all they can do on the 3ds. GF had to remove features because the system can run them without crashing, and battles lag because of all the models.

The next is bound to be on 3DS, as changing consoles mid-gen defeats the enitre point of having Generations and is a waste of GF's time and money. It's a move so stupid that not even a retarded toddler would try it.

And I'm okay with it. In fact, I hope Gen 8 is on 3DS too. Switching to Switch or any other console that pops up now is only going to be detrimental for the series, both sales and quality wise. In turn, though, keeping it on 3DS will just improve both sales and quality.
