I have not watched the anime since I was 10 or 11 but I know people still watch it, and I respect that. People love being a part of Ash's adventures. I totally get it. But now let me ask, what the FUCK went wrong with the XY series fans? When ash had May as a companion? Nothing out of the ordinary there. Dawn? No problem. Iris? Fine. Then enter Serena.
Never have I EVER seen such levels of autism when it comes to the shipping of Ash and Serena. I seriously don't get it. It's obnoxious. It's pathetic. Moreover, it's not even a good show for shipping in the first place. It's literally just a monster of the week style children's show that's been regurgitating the same flat plot for almost 20 years with the same exact characters, just different faces. What makes Serena different from the other companions? Is it something in the water? Is it a bunch of underaged kids whose first anime series was XY? The world may never know.
