Let's not argue about when they will come out.
We know they will eventually be released, so what do you think they will be?
Third version? Remakes? Maybe even sequels?
And on what platform because some people think the next game(s) will be on 3ds for some reason.
I personnaly think third version on switch.

It'll either be a third version or sequel to Alola (empty building slots, Lillie going to Kanto to heal Lusamine, Gladion taking over the Aether Paradise, the Zygarde foreshadowing by Dexio, etc.), the Kalos third version/sequel we never got (which would tie back into Sun & Moon like ORAS did with X & Y), Kanto reremaked/sequels (because excessive genwun pandering) or Sinnoh remakes (it's their turn next, and the theme of DPPt is literally the same as SM, being alternate universes).

My guess is sequel to Alola. I can't see DPPt remakes happening at all. I can see Kanto remake but maybe something like Yellow remake or so.

I think they are on their way toward a new handheld system. They aren't treating the Switch as such, and I think the 3ds is on its last legs too.

Oh yes remind me again what games were remade in gen 5?

I think at this point trying to guess GF's next move is a fool's errand. They don't follow any pattern and when you expect them to zig they zag.

Patternfags are cancer. No one thought Gen 7 was coming after ORAS, and Masuda has talked about speeding up game development for new hardware.

The next games can be literally anything. Yes, even gen 8 or a DP remake.

Truth be told ever since GF skipped the third version of XY and instead released a new gen we don't know anymore, my best guess is they'll release a third game (a la BW2) which gives the Switch enough time to become more prevalent and then release a new gen there and the inevitable DP remake

They have never and will never jump console mid gen. If it's Switch games we're getting, then it'll be Gen 8. Most likely next year assuming GF immediately started development around the time they got their new dev kits.
