except for that the Mythical Pokemon imply Gen 7 will end next year and the inclusion of Gen 6 leftovers like Ash-Greninja and Zygarde forms. Not to mention how rushed they were and reused music from Gen 6. The generation that start 3D 100% isn't filler.

Spin-offs, yes. Mainline games, no. The 3DS still exists (for the foreseeable future) and the Switch is gaining traction.

This. Additionally, lumping Mother in with the others is stupid as hell. Metroid and F-Zero have been utterly neglected but not officially killed off completely. The series creator of Mother specifically said that he doesn't want any more Mother games created and that the series is done.
Big difference between a company saying "Yes this is finished" vs just not using the IP for a million years.

I hope not, Game Freak have released a new game every single year since Red & Green were released, so it's safe to assume that if there isn't one this year, the series has been cancelled.
The only exceptions so far have been 2015, 2011, 2007, 2005, 2003, 2001, 1991 and 1997 (JP Release dates), so it has NEVER happened
