What will you guys who disagree with the zodiac theory do if they never introduce something that is durectly opposed?
Keep in mind - and this is not a copout - that the zodiac pattern had to have started after gen 2, when they were initially planning on including a bear as the fire starter. Afterwards, however, there has been a consistent and definitel inclusion into the zodiac. They retroactively fitted Charizard into the dragon slot (obviously) and incorporated the Hinezumi (Cyndaquil) into the rat slot, introduced a rooster, then a monkey, then a boar.
You might be able to argue against Fennekin, but... Foxes and dogs are very alike. I mean, yes, they're similar genetically, but they also act similarly and many people (especially young children, who they have obviously been trying to pander to) can't tell them apart.
Then they introduced a tiger.
So, in gen 8, the list of possible animals is dwindling. If we get something that comfortably rests in the Zodiac, will you still say it's bs? what about gen 9?
I personally believe they will stick with the zodiac until they're bored with it - which may or may not be before they fill out all the spaces on the Zodiac.
That's basically all I have to say about it.
