I like Dragonite as it is, though.

Green Dragonite is a stealth pun for lucky dragon.

Also the change from blue to orange is a callback to the myth of the snake become NG a dragon after eating the orb.

Dragonite is quite a good evolution concept wise, Dragonair is the weakest link in that line though.
