I'd sooner suggest to just let it go because people will never stop doubting of a Pokemon's gender/sex just because of their looks, whether out of instinct or influences in their lives. It's a part of all of us unless we are taught to think otherwise.
It's human nature's habit to always doubt of anything that is confusing/out of place unless they have been previously subjected to such.
