You're taking a franchise with over 800 playable character, and making a spinoff everyone was waiting for, with less than 20 of them. That's what, 2% of them? Yes, it's not easy making a fighting game with that a big rooster, but in this situation, it is disappointing to see a rooster this small. That fact doesn't change.
As for why is the rooster is shit, because it's not varied enough. Half of them are just bipedal humanoids. You're taking a franchise with bugs, birds, bulls, horse, and all sorts of shit, and you pick the most boring shit you can for this. Yes, they have different movesets and play differently, but that applies to literally every fighting game. What's the point of picking Pokemon if you just want a basic fighting game.
Some are understandable. Machamp, sure. It's literally THE fighting Pokemon. Lucario, it's going to be there. But Blaziken? Why? You already have the Fire-type covered. You don't need a Blaziken. There are far more interesting choices. Sceptile? Again, why? Grass-type is full of so many interesting body types and designs, but you pick the most humanoid of them all.
This wouldn't be a problem if the rooster was big. But if it's going to be less than 20 Pokemon, make them as interesting as possible. This isn't Tekken. This isn't Soul Calibur. It's Pokemon. Tekken and Soul Calibur has NOTHING but their fighting games. There's no expectation from them. But Pokemon is a massive franchise. If you're going to use that name, you'll have to accept the expectation that come with it. If you don't, you'll have faggots like me, faggots who love Pokemon, complaining about this shit.
