Hacked ditto?

I got from a friend a 6x31 dv ditto. He got it from a friend, who got it from a friend, who got it from idk. Trainer name is Japanese. Is it cheated? Is there a legal way to optain a 6x31 ditto? It also has passed some generations. Original before generation 5 i guess.

you can SOS chain a 6IV in SM, there's plenty of videos how to do it, tedious, but do-able, but yeah I'd expect any traded 6IV ditto to be hacked, but whatever, it cuts down breeding cycles.

OP if you're so worried it might be hacked, just wonder trade it off and let someone else put it to good use.

But you can only guarantee 4 IVs from SOS, which means the other 2 are still random so a 32x32 chance; 1/1024 if I'm right. Add to that the time it takes to sos chain 40 dittos, and it's honestly just quicker to breed with some imperfect 4IV dittos or other 5/6IV mons you already bred.

you can remove nearly any guesswork with an alolan raticate with hidden power, as he states in the video, it's long, but it's the most through and exact method. Going to do this when I get board breeding all the mons I want to breed, give people 6IV dittos, hopefully they find foreign owners that benefit from it being ENG.

Honestly, if you can get a perfect Ditto, just fucking use it. Hacked or not, you won't be penalized as long as you didn't have it yourself. And there is absolutely no way that anyone or anything can prove that offspring with a hacked Ditto aren't 100% legit themselves. The code just doesn't exist in the game. So unless you're really hung up on your own moral standards, just use the damn thing.

If you are, just get a couple 4IV Dittos and rotate around in the breeding cycles.
