If you go by the "next handheld it's not playable on," 2020 works. It'll also likely be Gen 8, matching the whole "double the number."
But fuck, patterns are worthless and this fandom clings too heavily on them. If DP remakes come, who knows when it'll happen. All I know is it won't be announced at E3.
