Gen 5 people were upset with "definitive" versions so sequels were made.
Z didn't happen because efforts rushed towards anniversary titles.
No clue on USUM for now.

Are you implying that this is a bad thing? While games like Platinum and Emerald were better games, they're what the original games should have been in the first place. It was a lazy way for them to make money back then and USUM are the exact same. At least B2W2 were sequels that added expanded upon the originals in quite a few ways.
