>>32709349Well, what you're saying makes sense on paper, but the execution is what made it work for Rosa. You ignored that, which is why 3 and 5 look pretty bad. Especially 5. The yellow sleeves are just jutting out, not contrasting or blending in properly. 4 looks good, but having the skirt be pink is just boring. It gets too little attention now. The yellow contrasted with her black stockings and was a lot more visually interesting. As you mentioned, it immediately grabs your attention, I don't think that's an inherently a bad thing.
Now, too many bright colors fighting for attention is could be a problem. But here, the blue and white are complementary colors. Instead of fighting for attention, they blend in and simply let your attention flow from one to another. And the color meeting yellow is white, which, as the other anon brought it up, "can create a glamorous, high-contrast look". The blue doesn't meet the yellow or black and isn't fighting anything for attention. This is a bunch of different, but nice ideas in a single design. Now, if you want call it a clusterfuck, go ahead. I prefer to call it interesting.
If you want something that lets your eyes move anywhere you want, with no part attracting any extra attention, Rosa's outfit isn't for you. I don't. Her shorts attract attention to her legs, and her legs are pretty good looking, so I prefer it this way. With her shorts being the first thing to attract your attention, the surrounding colors are black and white. You're free to let your eyes flow either way. If you look at the white, your eyes are smoothly taken all the way to the face with, and if you look at the black, well, you see her legs.
This is just how I see it. I'm not going to pretend everyone thinks the same. I doubt other Rosafags even think the same, much less non-Rosafags.
