It's a stupid speculation so don't take it too seriously.

What if "island scan" pokémons in Sun and Moon were only a hint?
I mean, these pokémons arrives in Alola suddenly but what if in the alternative dimension of Ultrasun and Ultramoon they arrived in Alola long time ago and they adapted to the ambient creating new Alola forms?

I wouldn't couny on that. I doubt Gamefreak would make Alolan forms of Starters.

Could be, but looking at the amount of what we got in SM, I doubt we'll get this many at once. I think XY and ORAS didn't have much difference between the amount of new Megas they introduced.

Johto's starters don't really have anything though. With Ho-oh and the beasts being promoted for the movie, and the upcoming VC release of Gen II, I could totally see Gamefreak giving them new forms.

You make a good point. Right now we have the Gen 6 and 7 starters being new, then we have the Gen 1 and 3 ones having Megas. Gen II has been left out in the cold a bit, though that might be due to it last showing up in Gen IV as remakes.

They are do for some love though following the ORAS remakes and the usual Gen I nostalgia pandering.

Gamefreak couldn't be assed to make more than 10 Alolan Form Pokemon lines. Do you think they are gonna make 28? For an enhanced version? C'mon son. There's being naive and there's being outright stupid.

They may as well, they need something to market the games now there are no new Pokemon.

Alolan Johto starters would be awesome, they seem the most fitting and people are probably sick of the Alolan starters anyway.

I think those pokemon are likely to be in the regional dex of USUM, but they're not getting Alola forms

Keep in mind that Gothita and Ralts are the same pokemon, Machamp and Conckedurr are the same pokemon, so idk if they'll be in trough

Well there's two generations with mega evolutions and they wouldn't change the more iconic Kanto designs that much. Plus the Johto starters are the only(?) ones that all 3 are monotype, so the Alolan forms could simply be a secondary type.

Same archetype. The feminine humanoid Psychic Type and the muscular humanoid Fighting Type. Gothitelle and Conkeldurr are basically Gen V remakes of Gardevoir and Machamp.

They're not the same pokemon,trough
But yeah, woobat,roggenroa,timburr,gothita,sawk and thor are all clones of past pokemon, the rest of GEN V is origina trough
