I'm 20 years old and have played every pokémon game up to Black & White and at this point I see absolutely no reason whatsoever to get another pokémon game.
>get good Pokémon
>get the TMs/HMs
>beat the gyms
>beat the final guy/guys

Do BW2. You have to at least end on the highest game of the franchise, and it's the only maingame pokemon game I can consistently play over and over again because it's just so good/polished/feels right.

Then go and play PMDEOS and SPMD.

It is a valid point you imbecile. Just because say, Gallade didn't exist in gen 3 doesn't mean the gen 6 game isn't superior for having the option to use Gallade. It's an objective fact and you trying to dismiss it makes anything you might say laughable.

If you want something different with pokemon, play the spinoffs.
You want tactic based, play conquest.
Want some dungeon stuff, Pokemon dungeons.
Fighting, Pokken.
Mindless waves of enemies rumble.
Then you got colleseum and gale of darkness if you want something different.
Nintendo is great for this. Because they keep the core games the same and branch out with what could work, without fucking up the main series.

I mainly am still in the pokemon community because of Tabletops and my addiction to monster catching games.
The second they mix diablo and pokemon I'm jumping ship.

I don't think they would do that the Pokemon franchise always brings money, so the console that end up having the main series games, becomes a pokemon playing machine, it would be a real dick move to make a new portable console just for pokemon and i doubt that could happen

Well it wouldn't be that. You could play any of the switch games on it.
They come in the little stick form after all.
And if you can play the game on the go without it needing to be attached, what's the problem there.
The issue with purchase of the switch right now is the thing is to unwieldy, and for the price of it I would never risk taking it out with me on my daily routines. Where as the 3ds, even the XL fits in my pocket, and can fold itself up so my keys won't grind on the screen.

I might be reading you wrong here, sorry if that's the case.
But wouldn't that go against the reason they would bring it to the switch? Or at least exclusively.

Side note, do you think they will stop making new handhelds?

The thing is a lot of people are saying the switch is both this year Nintendo home console and hanheld because it can be take to other places, but this is merely speculation some people just asume there no more handhelds after this
