So im finally set on playing one of the newer pokemon games! I have only played pokemon red, silver and crystal and none of the newer ones. Which game would you recommend?

Since Crystal there are 550 new Pokemon. You gonna honestly not recognize 90% of them just skipping into newest ones

Keep going in order and get to know each generation.

The 3ds games are very polarizing. Alot of critism for the games.

I would go with x and y since it has the most variety Pokemon and it's more traditional Pokemon game but I wouldn't tell you to buy it. Emulate it
